Job summary

Qualifications

• Associate degree in CAD-related program or CAD certification plus at least 2 years of relevant drafting experience.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD for creating, modifying, and managing technical drawings.
• Proficiency in Bluebeam for reviewing, marking up, and collaborating on project documents.
• Ability to follow ANSI drafting standards and established drafting procedures.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills for collaborating with designers, engineers, and project managers.
• Self-motivated with a strong desire to learn and grow in electrical drafting.

Responsibilities

• Prepare new engineering drawings of basic electrical components based on sketches and design inputs.
• Revise and update existing drawings to reflect design changes and client requirements.
• Adhere to drafting standards and procedures for all drawings.
• Follow ANSI standard drafting practices for consistency and accuracy.
• Assist in drafting tasks for various electrical utility projects with detailed drawings.
• Use AutoCAD, Bluebeam and other tools to complete tasks accurately.
• Support ad hoc drafting projects and meet project schedules.
• Collaborate with team to resolve drawing discrepancies and improve workflows.
• Maintain organized electronic drawing files for project tracking.
