Job summary

BCP Engineers & Consultants seeks a motivated draftsman to create and update electrical drawings for power generation projects. You will work with engineers and other staff to clarify design intent and maintain all related documentation, including cable schedules and vendor cut sheets.

The role requires a High School diploma or GED and strong proficiency in CAD tools, with on-site work at Surry Power Station and a hybrid schedule (3-4 days on site, 1-2 days remote) based on project needs.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated proficiency with CAD tools (AutoCAD and/or MicroStation).
• Familiarity with drawing and document management systems (ProjectWise & Documentum preferred).
• Strong knowledge of drafting principles and standards.

Responsibilities

• Understand and practice all safety requirements on site.
• Prepare electrical drawings for power generation engineering projects per corporate standards.
• Provide general electrical design support for the power generation fleet (equipment, cable/raceway, drawing numbers).
• Maintain drawing records per corporate and compliance policies.
• Coordinate site visits and perform field work as needed.
