Actalent in Spartanburg, SC is seeking an Electrical Design Engineer / CAD Operator to modify existing electrical designs using AutoCAD and support production with schematic updates. The role offers growth toward designing electrical schematics from scratch and exposure to PLC programming and AutoCAD Electrical.

You will work with office and shop teams to ensure panels are designed, built, and tested to meet production schedules. The position is fully onsite with standard 40-hour weeks.

Formación

• Proficiency with AutoCAD for electrical design and drafting.
• Ability to read, interpret and modify electrical schematics.
• Willingness to assist in building and testing electrical panels in a shop.
• Strong attention to detail and documentation.
• Good communication with office and shop teams.

Responsabilidades

• Modify existing electrical designs using AutoCAD after understanding company standards.
• Update electrical schematics to support projects and production schedules.
• Develop schematics from scratch as familiarity grows.
• Assist with building and testing electrical panels in the shop (about 10–15% initially).
• Collaborate with shop personnel to ensure panels are built and wired per updated schematics.
• Support troubleshooting of electrical panels during testing and adjust designs in AutoCAD.
• Participate in on-the-job training related to PLC programming and AutoCAD Electrical.
• Communicate design changes and production needs with the team.
• Provide remote support for field issues and occasional short-duration travel when on-site assistance is required.
