Job summary

Actalent is seeking an Electrical Designer to draft and design electrical control systems for material handling and bag filling equipment. You will produce detailed electrical drawings and control system docs, collaborating with engineering and integration teams in a fast-paced, hands-on environment.

Ideal candidates bring two-year electrical design training or equivalent experience, plus knowledge of PLCs and motor control.

Qualifications

• Two-year degree in electrical design or related field, or 5+ years of relevant electrical design experience.
• Experience with AutoCAD Electrical and automation-related projects.
• Experience integrating electrical control systems with mechanical equipment.
• Demonstrated ability to produce detailed manufacturing and field assembly drawings.
• Detail-oriented mindset with the ability to perform work accurately and thoroughly.

Responsibilities

• Provide electrical drafting and design using AutoCAD, including detailed drawings.
• Design electrical control systems under supervision, ensuring alignment with project requirements.
• Apply established drafting standards to ensure consistency and quality.
• Produce complete electrical control system documentation for equipment including manufacturing and field drawings.
• Support shop floor setup and equipment integration with a hands-on approach.
• Collaborate with engineering, controls, and integration teams to ensure practical designs.
