Job summary

Aerotek is seeking an Assembly Technician to build large electrical cabinets in a structured manufacturing setting in Kansas. The role involves assembling cabinets with relays, switches, PDU, surge suppressors, and Ethernet components.

You will read schematics, wire, solder when required, manage cables, and help prepare finished products for shipping. Expect a 40-hour week with occasional overtime in a climate-controlled facility.

Qualifications

• Minimum 6+ months of relevant electrical assembly experience.
• Ability to read electrical prints, schematics, and blueprints.
• Proficient with hand and power tools used in electrical/mechanical assembly.
• Experience with soldering in an assembly environment.

Responsibilities

• Read and interpret schematics, diagrams, blueprints, specifications, and work orders to determine material requirements and assembly instructions.
• Assemble large electrical cabinets using power tools, hand tools, and soldering equipment per quality standards.
• Conceptualize end-product to ensure precise measurements and alignment with quality specs.
• Manufacture wires and cables; cut to length, tag, route, and terminate correctly.
• Perform electrical wiring tasks including harnesses and cable management.
