Job summary

Cec Facilities Llc is seeking a Detailer to support 3D coordination and shop drawings for large commercial and industrial projects. You will generate construction drawings, review for conflicts, and work with project managers, superintendents, and field personnel.

The role requires a high school diploma, 1 year of Revit/AutoCAD/Navisworks experience, and at least 3 years in trade installation. Strong BIM and coordination skills are essential.

Position SummaryThe Detailer participates, as directed by the supervisor, in any modeling efforts for 3D coordination and shop drawings for educational, institutional, commercial projects. The ideal Detailer should be self-driven, resourceful and detail oriented to manage a high level of quality and service. Organizational skills, flexibility and critical thinking are necessary traits. Coordinates drawings with other trades and works closely with assigned Project Managers, construction supervision, field personnel, vendors and design engineers. Reports to a Senior Lead BIM Coordinator. Work is usually reviewed for accuracy by the Lead BIM Coordinator, Senior Lead BIM Coordinator, construction supervisor and/or the BIM Coordination Manger.Key ResponsibilitiesGenerates construction and fabrication drawings using CADD equipment and peripherals for a variety of large complex commercial and industrial projects.Reviews construction drawings for apparent conflicts with architectural and structural contract documents and to ensure compliance with local code requirements.Works closely with project management team for resolution of issues identified during reviews through the Request For Information (RFI) process.Coordinates draft construction drawings with other trades to ensure routings and clearances are understood and no obstructions exist.Working with other trades and coordinating each trades layout specification.Attending coordination meetings at jobsite and/or officesPartnering with project Superintendents and Project manager to complete tasks as assigned and needed.Performs site surveys and field measurement work as needed to support the conceptual and design drawing effort.Reviews submittal documents for accuracy.Maintains logs as needed for RFIs, transmittals, and drawings.Identifies and resolves issues with clients, architects, engineers, building owners and vendors related to construction drawings and drawings of record.Development of Bill of Quantities (BOQs)Development of Routing SchedulesWorking knowledge of BIM field tools. i.e. BIM 360 on tabletsPerforms other related duties as assigned to ensure efficient and effective completion of projects.QualificationsHigh school diploma required.One year Revit and Auto CAD, and NavisworksShould have a minimum of three (3) years trade experience in field installation with a solid skill levelSkills & AbilitiesProficient in Windows, Excel, Word, Outlook, Bluebeam.Strong Computer skills and aptitude for learningIntermediate mathematical skillsDetail oriented, able to recognize errors quicklyGood organizational skills, multi-taskerCommunicate with Superintendent, venders and customers effectively.Working knowledge of electrical parts and their intended use.Working knowledge of general construction.Working knowledge of safety procedures and firm believer in safetyGeneral problem solving ability.Work Environment & Physical DemandsThis job may work inside or outside with possible exposure to extreme hot or cold temperatures and weather elements in restricted or confined spaces, and on slippery or uneven surfaces. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, and filing cabinets.Must be able to traverse and inspect all areas of jobsite in all types of weather; this may include walking, climbing reaching, bending crawling, standing, or stretching.The employee must be able to regularly lift and/or move up to 50 poundsMove about on the feet regularly.
