Job summary

Miller Electric Company is seeking an Electrical BIM Modeler to support VDC processes by creating accurate digital representations of electrical systems. You will coordinate with VDC Coordinators to ensure clash-free modeling for prefabrication and field execution, using Revit and Navisworks within Miller’s standards.

Remote work is limited to candidates living over 60 miles from an Miller Electric office. An eye for detail, strong communication, and experience with electrical components are

Qualifications

• Two years of electrical experience in Revit and Navisworks.
• Exposure to electrical construction or drafting preferred.
• Familiarity with electrical components, systems, and NEC code preferred.
• Construction trade experience preferred.
• Proficient in Microsoft 365.
• COINS experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Build digital models from PLD layouts using Miller Electric standards.
• Use Revit to perform basic modeling tasks and set up views and schedules.
• Model conduit, cable tray, and electrical equipment with correct routing and spacing.
• Coordinate lighting fixtures from RCPs and submittals with proper elevation.
• Create 2D/3D ISO and fabrication shop drawings per standards.
• Perform clash detection and resolve spatial conflicts in Navisworks or BIM 360.
• Maintain project documentation and trackers like spool checklists and drawing trackers.
