Job summary

HDR in Kansas City, Missouri, seeks an Electrical BIM Intern to gain hands-on experience on commercial and industrial projects, applying standard engineering methods and BIM with Revit.

You will work under a senior BIM Designer, contributing to construction documents and BIM workflows, while engaging with peers and leaders through HDR’s mentoring programs and employee-owned culture.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate Engineering program.
• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
• Proficient in Revit and BIM software.
• Willingness to engage in HDR’s employee-owned culture.

Responsibilities

In the role of Electrical BIM Intern, we'll count on you to:

• Gain real-world experience on exciting commercial and industrial building projects by applying standard engineering techniques and knowledge of BIM software such as Revit.
• Work under the guidance and direct supervision of a senior level BIM Designer to assist in the development of construction documents utilizing BIM software such as Revit.
• Connect with recent college graduates and our company leaders through mentoring and young professionals’ programs
• Perform other duties as needed

Preferred Qualifications

• For Bachelor’s Degree students, prefer 2+ years completed towards degree with 3.0+ GPA
• For Associate Degree students, prefer 1 year completed towards degree with 3.0+ GPA.
• Demonstrated knowledge of software packages related to field of study/industry
• Preference given to local candidates.

Required Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate Engineering program
• Attention to detail
• Possess strong problem-solving and communication skills
• Basic Microsoft Office skills
