Job summary

The Electrical & Automation Manager 1st Shift at The Wonderful Company will lead plant electrical, controls, automation, and OT support across processing, packaging, utilities, and facilities. You will partner with operations, maintenance, IT/OT, engineering, and external integrators to improve reliability, safety, and throughput.

Responsibilities include lifecycle management, startup and integration of new equipment, and driving continuous improvement across the site in California’s Central

Qualifications

• Leadership and management of electrical, automation, and reliability teams.
• Cross-functional collaboration with Operations, Maintenance, Engineering, Quality, Safety.
• Experience balancing multiple priorities incl. capital projects and emergency support.
• Background in food, beverage, or related industrial environments preferred.
• Understanding of safety standards (LOTO, Arc Flash) and continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

• Lead electrical and controls team with clear expectations and accountability.
• Own PLC, HMI, VFD, instrumentation, power distribution, and safety circuits support.
• Provide technical leadership for troubleshooting and diagnostics.
• Drive lifecycle management and migration plans for control systems.
• Lead equipment startups and upgrades for lines, utilities, and facilities.
• Support electrical infrastructure, design reviews, and expansion planning.
• Support data initiatives via historians, MES, SQL integrations, and reporting.
• Use downtime data to prioritize reliability actions and capital improvements.
• Provide on-call support for critical production issues and major projects.
• Ensure electrical safety compliance and elevate material risks when needed.
• Manage contractors and vendors to meet safety, schedule, and budget.
