Job summary

Quality Talent Group is seeking an Electrical Engineer for a leading client in the building automation and industrial technology sector, based in Illinois. The role emphasizes PCS monitoring, PLC troubleshooting, and power distribution expertise.

The candidate will work with a multidisciplinary team to optimize plant performance, implement new equipment, and ensure reliable electrical systems across the site. Strong PLC skills and industrial experience are essential.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
1–3 years of electrical engineering experience in cement or similar industrial facilities.
Working knowledge of PLC programming and process control systems (ABB 800xA, Siemens S7).
Experience with instrumentation, motors, starters and VFDs, and industrial networks (Modbus, Profinet, Ethernet).
Strong knowledge of high and low voltage power distribution systems.

Responsibilities

Monitor plant process control system (PCS), including application programming, testing, commissioning, and maintenance
Facilitate the use of the PCS as a resource for various departments
Support installation of new plant equipment from conception to operation
Work closely with Electrical Supervisor and Process Engineers to analyze and improve operations
Provide technical expertise in electrical systems, power distribution, and PLC troubleshooting
