Job summary

Aspire Talent Solutions is seeking an experienced Electrical Controls Engineer to support automated manufacturing systems. The role covers PLC programming, DCS/SCADA, instrumentation, VFDs, and electrical distribution, with leadership of capital projects from concept to startup.

The ideal candidate has 5–10+ years in industrial controls, hands-on troubleshooting, and a strong background in Allen-Bradley or Siemens platforms, plus experience with SCADA/HMI and instrumentation.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
5–10+ years in industrial electrical, controls or automation.
Strong hands-on PLC programming and troubleshooting experience.
Experience with AB ControlLogix and/or Siemens S7/TIA Portal.
Experience with DCS/SCADA/HMI and industrial instrumentation.
Knowledge of MCCs, VFDs, transformers and switchgear.

Responsibilities

Program, troubleshoot, modify, and optimize PLC-based control systems.
Support and maintain DCS, SCADA and HMI systems used to control manufacturing processes.
Troubleshoot complex electrical, controls and instrumentation issues; perform root-cause analysis.
Lead capital projects from concept through startup and commissioning.
Develop and maintain electrical drawings, P&IDs, schematics and control documentation.
Coordinate with vendors, contractors and internal Operations teams.
Ensure electrical safety and compliance requirements are met.
