Job summary

Quality Talent Group is seeking an Electrical Engineer for a leading client in the building automation and industrial technology sector, based in Illinois. The role emphasizes PCS monitoring, PLC troubleshooting, and power distribution expertise.

The candidate will work with a multidisciplinary team to optimize plant performance, implement new equipment, and ensure reliable electrical systems across the site. Strong PLC skills and industrial experience are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
• 1–3 years of electrical engineering experience in cement or similar industrial facilities.
• Working knowledge of PLC programming and process control systems (ABB 800xA, Siemens S7).
• Experience with instrumentation, motors, starters and VFDs, and industrial networks (Modbus, Profinet, Ethernet).
• Strong knowledge of high and low voltage power distribution systems.

Responsibilities

• Monitor plant process control system (PCS), including application programming, testing, commissioning, and maintenance
• Facilitate the use of the PCS as a resource for various departments
• Support installation of new plant equipment from conception to operation
• Work closely with Electrical Supervisor and Process Engineers to analyze and improve operations
• Provide technical expertise in electrical systems, power distribution, and PLC troubleshooting
