Electrical Assistant Project Manager (Los Angeles, California) Position Overview

The Electrical Assistant Project Manager (Los Angeles, California) assists the Project Manager on projects and is the liaison between the field and the office. They are responsible for defining the project’s objectives by planning, executing, and finalizing projects according to the schedule while keeping within the budget.

Electrical Assistant Project Manager Responsibilities

• Assist in writing quotations and project proposals, estimating projects when necessary, reviewing contracts, setting up projects in relevant software applications, and working with project managers, on‑site foreman, and general contractors on assigned work.
• Work with the Production and Field teams; Project Managers, Site Superintendents, and Field Staff.
• Design participation, preconstruction, construction, and testing coordination.
• Assist Project Managers in managing projects, subcontracts, suppliers, and inspectors to meet construction deadlines and client expectations.
• Assist Project Manager in reviewing design documents, plans, specifications, estimates, schedules, and reports.
• Coordinate with change order cost estimates, preparing related reports, budgeting, and accounting practices.
• Develop professional documents; edit and proof written materials; prepare and maintain complete reports and records.

Electrical Assistant Project Manager Qualifications

• 2+ years of Project Engineer experience in the electrical construction industry.
• Understand engineering in electric power.
• Field experience coordinating with construction management.
• Extensive knowledge of project scheduling, bids, take‑offs, change orders, and contracts.
• Demonstrated ability to develop relationships and assist in winning projects.
• Demonstrated ability to run a profitable portfolio.
• BSEE or Construction Management degree is strongly preferred.
• Journeyman or Master Electrician’s license a plus.
