Job summary

nVent is seeking an Assembly Operator in Solon, Ohio to assemble electrical fastening products per blueprints and work instructions. You will perform quality checks and contribute to safe, efficient production.

Responsibilities include following detailed specs, handling materials, maintaining tools, and ensuring 5S standards. Teamwork and a focus on continuous improvement are essential for daily operations.

Qualifications

• Experience following work instructions or reading blueprints.
• Knowledge of manufacturing processes.
• Experience in assembling mechanical parts into a finished product.
• Prior experience using hand and power tools.

Responsibilities

• Assemble, fill, kit, prepare, label, and/or package products per Work Instructions.
• Complete work based on specifications, drawings, job routings, and/or Work Instructions.
• Select and move production materials as required.
• Maintain equipment and materials necessary to complete the operation.
• Meet safety, quality, and performance standards to support schedules.
• Record accurate information on Manufacturing Order and maintain records.
• Comply with safety procedures, quality specs, and 5S standards.
• Report adverse conditions and non-conforming products/procedures per escalation.
• Adhere to 5S standards daily and keep work area clean and organized.
• Notify team lead when problems arise concerning safety, quality, equipment, etc.
• Demonstrate flexibility with rotational assignments as needed.
• Participate in continuous improvement activities to meet customer needs.
