Job summary

Plant Power & Control Systems is seeking an Assembly Technician I for the 1st shift to assemble, wire, and test electrical switchboards and related equipment according to engineering specifications and quality standards.

The role requires reading blueprints, wiring diagrams, and schematics, using hand and power tools, and maintaining safety and organization to meet production deadlines.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Two years’ experience in a production environment preferred.
• Basic PPE understanding.
• Tow Motor and Overhead Crane experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Assemble switchboard components, including circuit breakers, bus bars, and control panels.
• Read and interpret engineering drawings, schematics, and work instructions.
• Wire electrical components according to specifications.
• Perform quality checks and testing to ensure functionality and compliance.
• Use hand tools, power tools, and measuring instruments safely and effectively.
• Troubleshoot and resolve assembly issues as needed.
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
• Complete assigned job duties within goal hours.
• Follow additional written and verbal instructions as necessary.
