Job summary

Dematic in Grand Rapids, MI is seeking an Electrical Assembly Technician to join our manufacturing team, building automation equipment by following drawings, BOMs and wiring schematics. You will use hand tools, machines and manual labor to assemble vehicle components and meet project schedules.

Ideal candidates bring electrical wiring/harness experience in a fast-paced setting, solid math skills and proficiency with drills, crimping/stripping tools, rivet guns and soldering irons.

Qualifications

• Prior electrical harness/component, panel wiring assembly experience in a fast-paced industrial/automation team environment.
• Proficiency in basic math operations and use of measuring tools.
• Experience using manual, power, and air tools (drill, crimping/stripping, rivet gun, soldering iron).
• Able to stand, bend, and lift up to 20 pounds; works well in a team and communicates effectively with production staff.

Responsibilities

• Follow detailed drawings, bills of materials, and wiring schematics for vehicle assembly tasks.
• Use various hand tools, machines, and manual labor to complete the vehicle build assembly process.
• Complete assembly vehicle builds electrical harness wiring/panel assemblies to meet/exceed manufacturing/project schedules.
• Update engineering drawings/work instructions and electrical harness/panel wiring schematics as needed.
• Maintain a safe and clean working environment per OSHA and company policies.
• This role may include other duties as assigned by the company.
