Job summary

Dematic is seeking an Assembly Technician for our Grand Rapids, MI facility to join a fast-paced manufacturing team. You will follow drawings and wiring schematics to assemble electrical harnesses and panel wiring for vehicle builds, using drills, crimping tools, and soldering irons.

You’ll maintain safety standards and collaborate with sub-assembly techs and supervisors in a hands-on environment. The role emphasizes precision assembly, documentation updates, and adhering to project schedules

Qualifications

• Experience with electrical harnessing and panel wiring in industrial/automation settings.
• Proficiency with basic math operations and measuring tools.
• Familiarity with using hand tools, power tools, and air tools in assembly work.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment and follow detailed drawings.

Responsibilities

• Follow detailed drawings, bills of materials, and wiring schematics for vehicle assembly tasks.
• Use various hand tools, machines, and manual labor to complete the vehicle build assembly process.
• Complete assembly vehicle builds electrical harness wiring/panel assemblies to meet/exceed schedules.
• Update engineering drawings/work instructions and electrical harness/panel wiring schematics as needed.
• Maintain a safe and clean working environment in line with procedures and OSHA requirements.
• This position may include any other duties assigned by the company.
