Job summary

Dakota Systems in Dracut, MA is seeking an Electrical Assembler II to join our manufacturing team. With 2+ years of cable/harness experience, you will build up electronic assemblies, including PCBs and harnesses, following schematics.

The role runs Monday to Friday in-house from 7:00 to 3:30, with a starting rate of $22–$24 per hour. You will use soldering irons, wire strippers, crimpers, and hand tools to assemble, wire, and test components, while maintaining ESD handling procedures.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of cable/harness assembly experience following schematics.

Responsibilities

• Assemble electronic and electromechanical subassemblies such as PCBs, modules, chassis drawers, cable harnesses and other assemblies.
• Follow production instructions, parts lists, diagrams and notes to wire and install components.
• Use a variety of small hand tools to assemble, wire and test components.
• Hand soldering and de-soldering of through-hole and SMT components.
• Handle all electronic components following ESD guidelines.

Job description

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Electrical Assembler II to join our manufacturing team. Two plus years of Cable/Harness building experience following schematics required. This position is M-F, in-house, 7-3:30 and the starting rate range is $22-24/hr.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform a wide variety of electronic and electromechanical subassembly and assembly operations to build up and assemble units of moderate complexity such as printed circuit boards, modules, chassis drawers, cable harnesses and other electronic assemblies
• Following established methods and procedures builds flexible cable assemblies; makes bulk cables, cuts and strips wires, crimps, cleaning operations, marking operations
• Work from production/assembly instructions, parts lists, wire lists, diagrams, verbal instructions, and notes to assemble, wire and install a wide variety of components
• Utilize a variety of small hand tools such as soldering irons, wire strippers crimpers, wenches, screwdrivers, and pliers
• May operate semiautomatic assembly equipment as well as basic electronic test equipment
• Hand soldering and de-soldering of thru-hole, and SMT components
• Handle all electronic components within the guidelines of ESD
