Job summary

Mainstream Engineering Corporation is seeking an Electromechanical Assembler to support production of cable assemblies, wire harnesses, and subassemblies. The role includes cutting, stripping, crimping, routing, terminating, and assembling wires per drawings and detailed work instructions.

Ideal candidates are detail-oriented with good manual dexterity and ability to follow written instructions and assembly drawings.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• Cable/wire harness or electromechanical assembly experience preferred.
• Soldering experience required or strongly preferred.
• IPC soldering certification preferred.
• Experience reading engineering drawings and schematics.
• Crimping, wire termination, and cable assembly experience a plus.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
• Mechanical aptitude and ability to follow directions.
• Good manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Build cable assemblies and wire harnesses according to drawings, schematics, and written work instructions.
• Cut, strip, crimp, terminate, route, and bundle wires and cables.
• Solder wires, connectors, terminals, and electronic components as required.
• Assemble electrical, electronic, and mechanical components and subassemblies.
• Inspect completed assemblies to ensure workmanship, quality, and conformance to specifications.
• Complete device history records, production documentation, and daily production logs.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
• Perform other assembly and production tasks as necessary.

Job description

Cable Assembly / Electromechanical Assembler Duties And Responsibilities

• Build cable assemblies and wire harnesses according to drawings, schematics, and written work instructions


• Cut, strip, crimp, terminate, route, and bundle wires and cables


• Solder wires, connectors, terminals, and electronic components as required


• Assemble electrical, electronic, and mechanical components and subassemblies


• Inspect completed assemblies to ensure workmanship, quality, and conformance to specifications


• Complete device history records, production documentation, and daily production logs

Requirements And Qualifications
