Job summary

Mainstream Engineering Corporation in New York is seeking an Electromechanical Assembler to support the production of cable assemblies, wire harnesses, and electronic subassemblies. You will cut, strip, crimp, route, terminate, and assemble wires and cables per drawings and specifications.

The ideal candidate has soldering experience and the ability to read engineering drawings. IPC certification is preferred. You will work in a detail-oriented environment with a focus on quality and teamwork.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Experience with cable assembly, wire harness, or electromechanical assembly preferred.
• Soldering experience required or strongly preferred.
• IPC soldering certification preferred.
• Experience reading engineering drawings, schematics, and instructions.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
• Mechanical aptitude and ability to follow directions.
• Good manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Build cable assemblies and wire harnesses according to drawings, schematics, and written work instructions.
• Cut, strip, crimp, terminate, route, and bundle wires and cables.
• Solder wires, connectors, terminals, and electronic components as required.
• Assemble electrical, electronic, and mechanical components and subassemblies.
• Inspect completed assemblies to ensure workmanship, quality, and conformance to specifications.
• Complete device history records, production documentation, and daily production logs.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
• Perform other assembly and production tasks as necessary.

Cable Assembly / Electromechanical Assembler Duties and Responsibilities
