Job summary

Dover Food Retail is seeking an Assembler II - Electrical for 1st shift at Plant 1 in Colonial Heights, VA. You will read work orders, wiring diagrams and assemble electrical controls for various assembly areas.

The role requires HS Diploma or GED, experience with low-voltage electrical systems, ability to read circuitry and use basic electrical test equipment. We offer discretionary bonus and commissions. Dover is an Equal Opportunity Employer with a safe production environment.

Qualifications

• Prior experience with low-voltage electrical systems such as fire alarms, access control or related life-safety systems.
• Minimum of HS Diploma or GED required.
• Ability to understand and interpret basic electric circuitry.
• Knowledge and capability of using basic electrical test equipment.
• Demonstrated ability to read instructions and wiring diagrams of internal equipment plus components.

Responsibilities

• Read and understand work orders, engineering drawings, wiring diagrams and schematics to determine materials needed.
• Assemble electrical controls for all assembly areas.
• Mount electrical enclosures on cases and electrical devices in cabinets and on surfaces.
• Run wiring, cables and conduit in accordance with UL471, NEC standards.
• Train others and maintain a clean, safe work area.
