Job summary

Powell is seeking an Electrical Assembler in Houston to build and install power distribution equipment for the power generation industry. You will bend and install conduit, pull wires, install cable tray, and terminate wiring in accordance with NEC and safety policies.

This role starts on the 5:00am–3:30pm Monday–Thursday schedule with training provided. A high school diploma or GED and basic mechanical skills are required; manufacturing experience is preferred and opportunities for advancement

Qualifications

• Minimum of high school diploma or GED and 1 year of manufacturing experience or equivalent.
• Basic command of English, written and verbal.
• Ability to read a tape measure and perform basic calculations.

Responsibilities

• Install electrical devices (disconnects, lights, panel boards, transformers, etc.).
• Bend, run, and install conduit (EMT and Rigid).
• Install cable tray and wireway.
• Pull wire and large cable; terminate wires.
• Follow NEC-based wiring procedures and safety policies.
• Maintain clean, organized work areas and quality standards.
