Job summary

Eaton’s ES AMER ESS division is seeking an Assembler - 1st Shift in Richmond, VA. The role builds sub-assemblies and assemblies for PDU, RPP, STS and transformers, using welding, winding and other heavy equipment. Safely follow SOPs and ensure quality through inspections.

The position requires lifting up to 50 lbs, overtime as needed, and adherence to EH&S rules. Opportunities for growth within the plant are available.

Qualifications

• Must be able to work in the United States without sponsorship now or in the future.
• No relocation benefit is offered; candidates within 50 miles of Richmond, VA will be considered.
• Active Duty Military Service members are exempt from the geographic area limitation.
• Preferred: experience in production, packaging or construction; SOPs familiarity; product electrical assembly/maintenance experience; basic computer knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Follow SOPs to build sub-assemblies and assemblies.
• Operate heavy industrial equipment (cranes, winding machines, fabrication, welding, brazing).
• Visually inspect materials before and after assembly.
• Use fixtures, gauges, hand tools and power tools to assemble, adjust or repair products.
• Inspect assemblies to meet quality standards and adjust as needed.
