Job summary

Eaton's ES AMER ESS division is seeking an Assembler - 1st Shift in Richmond, VA, with an hourly rate of $19.47. The role involves building electrical sub-assemblies for PDU, RPP, STS, transformers, and more, following SOPs and using cranes and power tools.

Responsibilities include visual/material inspections, quality checks, and maintaining 5S+ housekeeping. Benefits include health, holidays, overtime, and retirement programs.

Qualifications

• Must be able to work in the United States without sponsorship.
• No relocation benefit; candidates within 50 miles preferred.
• Active Duty Military candidates exempt from area limitation.
• Experience with SOPs and electrical assembly preferable.
• Ability to lift 50 lbs, stand for extended periods, and use hand/power tools.

Responsibilities

• Assemble sub-assemblies and assemblies per customer specs.
• Use heavy industrial equipment, including cranes and fabrication tools.
• Visually inspect materials before and after assembly.
• Inspect completed assemblies for quality and adjust as needed.
• Adhere to EH&S rules and 5S+ housekeeping practices.
• Suggest process and safety improvements to the team.
• Ensure proper calibration of machines and tools.

Active Duty Military Service member candidates are exempt from the geographical area limitationPreferred Qualifications:Experience in production, packaging or construction, or equivalent educationPrevious experience with standard operating proceduresPrevious experience with product electrical assembly, maintenance and/or repairBasic working knowledge and experience with computersPosition Criteria:Ability to demonstrate working knowledge of the mechanical, electrical, and safety procedures of a manufacturing facilityAbility to read and interpret standard operating procedures, wiring diagrams and bills of materialAbility to work daily and/or weekend overtime, willingness to flex to different areas or local plants as neededAbility to lift, push and pull 50 lbsAbility to use a crane once fully trained to lift itemsAbility to stand for extended periods of time.
