Job summary

Siemens is seeking an Electrical Assembler for the GIS Production Team based in Wendell, NC. The role involves sub-assembly and final wiring for Low/Medium Voltage equipment, including switchgears and breakers, with a shift from 6:00 AM to 2:30 PM.

The hourly rate is $20.36, and applicants must be legally authorized to work in the United States. You will read schematics, work with BOMs and layouts, and use standard hand/power tools.

Qualifications

• 1+ year of experience in mechanical assembly or a related mechanical field.
• 1+ years’ experience with commercial or industry wiring.
• Basic proficiency in English, including reading, writing, and speaking.
• Ability to read schematic drawings, layouts, and wire lists with minimal supervision.
• Experience using standard hand and power tools, including pneumatic and battery-operated tools, wiring tools, and tape measure.
• Authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.

Responsibilities

• Perform sub-assembly and final wiring with accuracy per layouts.
• Work with large power cables, ensuring correct crimping methods.
• Record job transactions, read BOMs, follow layouts and assembly drawings.
• Set and use torque wrenches correctly, adhering to processes.
• Adhere to Environmental and Occupational Health and Safety policies, and be a strong team player.
• Perform miscellaneous duties as assigned by Supervisor or Management.
