Job summary

Compu Dynamics in Chantilly, VA, is seeking a skilled Service Electrician to join our Electrical Service Team. You will perform maintenance and repair on electrical systems for data centers, following safety protocols and codes.

The role requires 1–4+ years in service, 1+ year in electrician trade, and a valid driver's license; a journeyman or master license preferred. We offer a comprehensive benefits package and a $5,000 sign-on bonus.

Qualifications

• 1-4+ years of service field experience.
• 1+ years' electrician trade or equivalent training.
• Hands-on experience with thermal imaging and power quality meter equipment.
• Valid driver's license in good standing.

Responsibilities

• Routinely inspects electrical equipment and wiring to ensure code compliance and identify hazards.
• Diagnoses malfunctions and creates maintenance or repair plans.
• Repairs electrical systems, wiring and breakers to restore full function.
• Handle 3 phase power, transformers and motors as required.
• Document work performed in a timely manner.

We are looking for a skilled Service Electrician to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in electrical systems, including maintenance and repair work.

$5,000 Sign On Bonus (Journeyman/Masters License Required)

Essential Functions:

• Routinely inspects electrical equipment, wiring, fixtures and other components to ensure they remain functional and are up to code, as well as to identify any hazards or issues
• Determines the reasons for any malfunctions of systems or components, and creates a maintenance or repair plan to solve the problem
• Repairs electrical systems, wiring, circuit breakers, equipment and other components so that they remain at full functioning capacity
• Intermediate knowledge of low and high voltage
• Understands 3 Phase power
• Ability to work on transformers and motors
• Troubleshoots issues and makes recommendations to resolve the situation
• Requisitions material, tools and equipment and maintains inventory
• Measures, cuts, and bends wire and conduit
• Operates hand tools, power tools, gauges and measuring equipment to perform installations or service to the equipment and/or mechanical system
• Provides timely and completed documentation of work performed
• Drives company vehicle throughout service area while following all local laws
• Operates vehicles and other equipment safely; adheres to safety protocols; reports hazards and risks; behavior contributes to a safe and secure working environment

Required Education and Experience:

• High School Diploma or GED
• 1-4+ years experience in the service field
• 1+ years' experience in electrician trade or equivalent training
• Hands-on experience with thermal imaging and power quality meter equipment
• Valid drivers license in good standing

Preferred Education and Experience:

• Industrial and/or commercial experience
• Data Center Experience Preferred

Compu Dynamics Pay Range$25—$30 USD
