Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Two years' experience as electrical apprentice.
• Willingness to stay engaged in the ABA apprenticeship program.
• Interprets complex blueprints, one-lines, and riser diagrams.
• Must be able to distinguish wire colors and follow detailed verbal and written instructions.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and understanding of construction environments.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrate strong knowledge of electrical theory in the installation of conduit, wiring, lighting, devices, and electrical equipment under little supervision.
• Pull wire, install supports, and perform material staging and cleanup as directed.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment.
• Develop proficiency in the proper use and care of hand and power tools used in electrical work.
• Assists in equipment and panel installations, including setup, mounting, and basic terminations with little supervision.
• Support the setup and takedown of work areas, ensuring all tools and materials are properly secured.
• Observe and practice safe work habits consistent with OSHA and company safety standards.
• Learn to identify electrical materials, wire types, fittings, and installation components.
• Capable of performing underground and rough-in installations under some supervision.
• Follow direction promptly and complete assigned tasks efficiently and accurately.
• Demonstrate reliability, punctuality, and a willingness to learn every aspect of the trade.
• Participate in weekly safety meetings, training sessions, and company development opportunities.
• Expected to complete classroom and on-the-job training requirements in alignment with Kearney Electric's apprenticeship standards.
• Actively participates in personal and professional development to advance toward Journeyman Electrician status.
