Job summary

Kearney Electric is seeking a Journeyman Electrician II for commercial and industrial projects in Arizona. The role requires strong electrical theory knowledge, code compliance, and hands-on expertise to install, maintain, and repair systems under supervision.

The candidate will coordinate with other trades, mentor apprentices, and ensure safety, quality, and timely project progress on site.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 5 years of electrical field experience or Journeyman License.
  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Strong knowledge of NEC code and electrical theory.
  • Ability to read blueprints and specifications.
  • Experience on commercial/industrial projects.
  • Proficient with electrical test instruments and power tools.

Responsibilities

  • Install, repair, and maintain electrical systems per NEC and local codes.
  • Coordinate installation work with other trades and field personnel.
  • Provide hands-on direction and training to apprentices and Journeymen I.
  • Plan and lay out work from blueprints, schematics, and docs.
  • Ensure installations meet safety, quality, and craftsmanship standards.
  • Order and manage materials, tools, and equipment for tasks.
  • Maintain a clean, safe work area following OSHA policies.
