Job summary

CEC in Cheyenne, WY seeks an Electrical Apprentice 1 to support seasoned electricians on basic installations, material handling and jobsite housekeeping. The role emphasizes safety, tool maintenance and learning on real projects.

You will pull wire, assist with conduit work, operate common hand tools under supervision, and help maintain organized work areas while meeting attendance standards and safety policies.

Qualifications

• Requires basic mechanical aptitude and manual skills.
• Current Apprentice Electrical License.
• High School Graduate, GED or equivalent is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Secures, relocates and organizes materials, small tools, and equipment.
• Keeps work area clean by disposing of scrap, excess materials, and refuse.
• Keeps materials and tools clean and organized in an orderly fashion.
• Assists in pulling wire, lifting, hoisting and positioning materials.
• Operates less complicated hand tools and equipment under direct supervision.
• Digs trenches by use of hand tools.
• Assists in mounting and strapping.
• Assists more senior personnel in less complicated electrical installations under close supervision.
• Performs other project related duties as instructed by supervisor.
• Meets attendance standards and complies with late/absence notification procedures.
• DOES NOT WORK ON ENERGIZED CIRCUITS OR EQUIPMENT.
