Job summary

Black & Veatch Family of Companies is seeking an Electrical Apprentice for a craft (non-union) project. Shadow journeymen, learn to read blueprints, diagnose electrical issues, and assist with installation and maintenance of electrical systems.

Training emphasizes safety, quality work, and adherence to plans and industry standards. Responsibilities include using hand and power tools, assisting with wiring layout, and supporting electricians in testing and repairs on site.

Qualifications

• 6001-8000 hours (3+ years’) experience working as an electrician and a basic knowledge of the electrical craft.
• Must have all necessary licenses for the jurisdiction in which the work is to be performed (if applicable).
• Must be at least 18 years of age and able to complete pre-employment onboarding requirements.

Responsibilities

• Assist a journeyman electrician and follow instructions.
• Learn to use hand and power tools to assist in wiring and installations.
• Perform minor repairs and maintain tools and equipment.
