Job summary

IES Residential Inc. seeks an Electrical Apprentice to assist with installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of electrical systems while supporting daily operations on job sites. This role works closely with customers, vendors, and leadership to ensure safety and code compliance.

The position requires basic electrical knowledge, reading blueprints, and strong communication skills. Travel to various project sites and standing for long periods are expected.

Qualifications

• Basic knowledge of electrical systems, equipment, and troubleshooting techniques.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and electrical documentation.

Responsibilities

• Assist with electrical installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair work on electrical systems and equipment.
• Review project plans, specifications, and work orders to support project execution.
• Support diagnosing and resolving electrical issues in a timely and professional manner.
• Ensure all work is completed in compliance with company policies, safety standards, and applicable electrical codes.
• Coordinate with employees, vendors, subcontractors, and internal departments regarding project activities and operational needs.
• Maintain accurate records, reports, and documentation related to electrical work and project activities.
• Support project timelines and assist with resolving operational concerns in the field.
• Monitor equipment, materials, and job site conditions to support operational efficiency and safety.
• Assist senior technicians and support field operations as needed.
• Maintain professionalism and effective communication throughout all customer and operational interactions.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.
