Job summary

Breen and Sullivan is seeking an entry-level apprentice to join our team of electricians, HVAC technicians, and plumbers in Massachusetts. You will learn safety practices, read blueprints, and assist with wiring, conduit, and panel installation under supervision.

Our program emphasizes hands-on training, mentorship, and progression from apprentice to journeyman to master tradesperson, with a focus on delivering reliable service and customer satisfaction.

Responsibilities

• Assist licensed electricians with installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical systems (wiring, conduit, panels, fixtures, outlets, switches).
• Measure, cut, bend, and install conduit and wiring per specifications.
• Pull wire through conduit and structures.
• Assist with installing and connecting electrical devices, breakers, and panels under supervision.
• Learn to test circuits and components using multimeters and diagnostic tools.
• Observe and assist with troubleshooting basic electrical issues alongside a journeyman or master electrician.
• Keep the job site clean, organized, and stocked with needed materials.

Eligibility Requirements

• Valid driver's license required.
• Employment and education verification.
• Authorized to work full-time in the United States.
• Post-offer pre-employment drug testing required.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to work in hot and cold weather conditions.
• Ability to work in attics, basements, crawl spaces, and on rooftops.
• Ability to bend, crawl, stoop, stretch, and reach.
• Ability to work safely on ladders and uneven surfaces.
• Ability to lift 50 pounds regularly and up to 100 pounds occasionally.
