Job summary

You will assist with diagnosing heating and cooling issues, support preventative maintenance, and learn to read blueprints while contributing to retrofit projects and new construction under supervision.

Qualifications

• Interest in learning the HVAC trade and building a long-term career.
• Ability to use hand and power tools under supervision.
• Basic computer skills, including email.
• Willingness to learn to read blueprints, diagrams, and schematics.
• Strong work ethic, reliability, and eagerness to grow.
• Good communication and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist with diagnosing and resolving heating and cooling system issues.
• Support preventative maintenance, including filter changes, belt inspections, and coil cleaning.
• Complete work orders accurately and efficiently.
• Maintain clean and organized work areas, tools, equipment, and vehicles.
• Participate in emergency service calls during on-duty hours.
• Assist with interpreting blueprints and understanding ductwork layouts.
• Support new construction and retrofit projects, and help install and replace HVAC equipment and related components.
• Learn SMACNA standards for ductwork installation.

Eligibility Requirements

• Valid driver\'s license required.
• Employment and education verification.
• Authorized to work full-time in the United States.
• Post-offer pre-employment drug testing required.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to work in hot and cold weather conditions.
• Ability to work in attics, basements, crawl spaces, and on rooftops.
• Ability to bend, crawl, stoop, stretch, and reach.
• Ability to work safely on ladders and uneven surfaces.
• Ability to lift 50 pounds regularly and up to 100 pounds occasionally.
