The ideal candidate is eager to learn the trade, has a strong attention to detail, and can support licensed electricians with installations, maintenance, and repairs while maintaining a professional attitude and excellent customer service on job sites.JOB RESPONSIBILITIESAssist electricians in the installation of wiring, lighting, and control systemsMeasure, cut, and bend wire and conduit, using hand tools and power toolsMaintain tools and equipment, ensuring they are clean and in good working orderPull wire through conduits and holes in walls and floorsSupply or hold materials or tools for electriciansClean and prepare work areas for electrical installationsFollow instructions and safety procedures on job sitesACCOUNTABILITIESSupport electricians in the installation of wiring, lighting, outlets, and other electrical systems according to project specifications and safety codesAdhere to all safety regulations and procedures, including wearing appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) and assisting in keeping the work area clean and organized to minimize hazardsORGANIZATIONAL ALIGNMENTThis position reports to the local Project Manager and is responsible for engaging with the install team and all of our customers.QUALIFICATIONSHigh school diploma or GED preferred0–2 years of electrical or construction experienceTechnical high school certification and/or associate degree from an accredited electrical program, a plusMust be willing to learn and take directionAbility to work in various environments (outdoors, tight spaces, heights, etc.)Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical tasks throughout the workdayValid driver’s license and reliable transportation preferredOSHA 10 certification is a plus, but must be willing to obtain one once hiredBEHAVIORAL PROFILELanguage SkillsAbility to read and comprehend basic electrical codes, safety instructions, and work orders. Capable of measuring, calculating dimensions, and interpreting electrical schematics, blueprints, and wiring diagrams. Ability to use tools like tape measures and voltage testers accurately.Reasoning AbilityAbility to follow written, verbal, and diagram instructions to assist electricians in performing tasks. Able to troubleshoot basic electrical issues, identify potential problems, and contribute to their resolution. Capacity to prioritize and manage multiple tasks effectively, maintaining attention to detail and safety.Physical DemandsWhile performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to use their hands for handling tools and equipment. The employee is frequently required to stand, walk, and move about job sites. The role involves frequent climbing, balancing, kneeling, bending, and crawling in various work environments.
