MPD INTEGRATION LLC is seeking an Application Engineer to provide technical expertise for the Inside Sales Desk, helping prepare accurate quotations and guiding customers through MPD solution configurations from drawings and specifications.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or related technical discipline; relevant experience may be considered in lieu of degree.
• Three+ years of experience in electrical equipment applications, technical sales support, estimating, quotation engineering, or electrical design.
• Ability to interpret electrical drawings and translate into equipment selections and defined scope.
• Familiarity with NEC, UL, ANSI, IEEE, and NEMA requirements; ability to flag issues for specialist review.
• Proficiency with Excel and experience with CRM/ERP systems for configuration and costing tasks.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary technical resource for the Inside Sales Desk on equipment selection, ratings, configurations, accessories, and application questions.
• Review RFQs for technical completeness and identify missing information or conflicts before quotation.
• Prepare or validate takeoffs, BOMs, configuration records, and proposal content to define scope clearly.
• Explain technical choices and propose practical alternatives addressing performance, footprint, cost, and delivery needs.
• Coordinate with engineering, manufacturing, procurement, and suppliers to confirm configuration feasibility and constraints before commitments.
• Provide technical input for costing and lead-time assessments; support sales in responding to questions and changes.
• Maintain revision control for documents and ensure smooth handoffs to project execution.
