Aerotek is seeking a Mechanical Assembler to build fluid delivery cabinets and mechanical subassemblies for semiconductor processing tools in a clean, team-oriented manufacturing environment. You will follow detailed drawings, use hand and power tools, verify fit and function, and document production steps.

Responsibilities

• Assemble cabinets, frames, panels, and mechanical subassemblies used in fluid delivery processing systems for semiconductor tools.
• Read and interpret blueprints, assembly drawings, schematics, and detailed work instructions to perform accurate assemblies.
• Utilize hand tools and power tools such as drills, drivers, tape measures, and other measuring devices to complete assembly tasks.
• Install hardware, brackets, fittings, tubing, and other mechanical components according to engineering specifications and standards.
• Verify proper fit, alignment, and functionality of assembled components and subassemblies before moving to the next stage.
• Perform thorough quality inspections to ensure products meet engineering requirements and customer expectations.
• Maintain accurate production documentation and assembly records to support traceability and process control.
• Collaborate closely with engineering, quality, and manufacturing teams to resolve assembly issues and help improve processes.
• Follow all safety procedures and maintain a clean, organized, and efficient work area at all times.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives and contribute to meeting daily and weekly production schedules.
• Work at a bench or workstation assembling fluid delivery cabinets for semiconductor processing tools, ensuring consistent quality and output.

In this role, you build and assemble high-quality cabinets and mechanical subassemblies used in fluid delivery and process systems for the semiconductor industry. You use hand and power tools, follow detailed assembly drawings and work instructions, and ensure each cabinet meets strict engineering and customer quality standards. Essential Skills

• 1+ years of manufacturing, assembly, mechanical, or production experience in a similar environment.

• Proven hand tool experience, including safe and effective use of basic mechanical tools.

• Strong mechanical aptitude with the ability to understand how mechanical components fit and function together.

• Experience using hand and power tools such as drills, drivers, and measuring devices.

• Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings, blueprints, schematics, and written work instructions.

• Experience performing detailed mechanical assembly in a manufacturing or production environment.

• Strong attention to detail and a clear commitment to producing high-quality work.

• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for extended periods during the shift.

• Effective communication skills and the ability to work well in a team-oriented environment.

• Ability to wear appropriate protective footwear (steel toe shoes or boots) as required on the production floor.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Experience with electrical assembly, including wiring and cable routing, is a plus.

• Ability to interpret electrical schematics and diagrams is beneficial.

• Comfort working at a bench performing repetitive but precise assembly tasks.

• Familiarity with semiconductor manufacturing equipment or high-tech production environments is an advantage.

• Interest in developing mechanical and technical skills within a high-tech industry.

• Flexibility to work different shifts and support overtime as needed based on production demand.

Work Environment

You work in a clean, modern manufacturing facility focused on building fluid delivery cabinets for semiconductor processing tools. All positions begin at 7:30 a.m. on the first day for onboarding and training, then transition to the assigned shift: a day schedule from Monday to Thursday, 5:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., or a swing schedule from Monday to Thursday, 2:00 p.m. to 12:30 a.m., with overtime opportunities on Friday and a 10% shift differential for swing shift. The environment is team-oriented, organized, and safety-focused, with clear work instructions and close collaboration with engineering and quality teams. You use hand and power tools at a bench or workstation in a clean production area, and steel toe footwear is required for safety. The project runs through the end of December with the potential to extend based on business needs and performance, offering a stable and structured setting for developing your skills.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Tualatin, OR.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $21.00 - $23.10/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job‑related factors.
