Electrical and Instrumentation (I&E) Technician

Powerwell is seeking an Electrical and Instrumentation (I&E) Technician for a union position responsible for preventative and corrective maintenance, troubleshooting, and supporting operations in a chemical manufacturing environment. The role involves modifications to equipment, system upkeep, and safety compliance. Night and weekend shifts may be required.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Install, repair, and modify production and office equipment.
2. Troubleshoot equipment issues and perform trade functions like welding, plumbing, or electrical work.
3. Manage spare parts inventory and ensure safety procedures are followed.
4. Read and interpret technical diagrams and manuals.
5. Support control systems including DCS and PLCs.
6. Complete safety inspections and documentation.

Qualifications:

1. Minimum five years of experience in a manufacturing environment as an I&E technician.
2. High School diploma or equivalent; Associate degree in Instrumentation Technology preferred.
3. Experience with machinery, valves, pumps, and troubleshooting tools.
4. Knowledge of ERP maintenance modules is advantageous.
5. Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
