Job summary

EXCEL Group in Baton Rouge, LA is seeking an Electrical and Instrumentation Estimator to develop Lump sum, T&M, and unit price estimates for bidding industrial projects. You will evaluate plans, specifications, and vendor inputs, coordinating with project teams to ensure accurate cost predictions and on-time submissions.

The role requires a bachelor’s degree in Construction Management and proven E&I estimating experience in industrial settings, with strong analytical and presentation skills

Responsibilities

• Analyze project plans, specifications, and other documentation to prepare time, cost, materials, and labor estimates.
• Consult with clients, vendors, and internal stakeholders to discuss and formulate estimates and resolve issues.
• Prepare estimates including equipment needs, labor costs, and materials.
• Conduct regular project reviews and prepare reports to ensure projects remain within budget and on schedule.
• Cost estimating with MEP.
• Ability to read and interpret drawings and specifications.
• Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and other team members to ensure accurate and comprehensive estimates.
• Stay updated with industry trends and changes to ensure accurate cost predictions.

Excel is seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Electrical and Instrumentation Estimator to join our team at the corporate office in Baton Rouge, LA. The successful candidate will be responsible for incorporating knowledge of client specifications, and other documentation to prepare Lump sum, T&M, and unit price cost estimates for bidding projects. Candidate must be able to develop accurate estimates for multiple, coinciding projects. This position also requires strong persuasive and organizational skills to assist in client presentations.

Key Responsibilities:
