Job Description

Responsible for participating in a team to pack products received from a manufacturing area (e.g., liquids, powders, capsules, pills) that are labeled and packaged, or finished products (e.g., brushes, floss, paste, refills, razors) that are packaged manually or with machines or robots. Acts as a System or Equipment Owner for their area, operating and maintaining equipment.

Electrical and Controls Technicians are responsible for enabling production throughput, troubleshooting, reducing downtime, and improving systems. They perform maintenance, diagnostics, and programming on various control systems, and lead technical improvements.

Responsibilities include:
  • Maintaining and troubleshooting high-speed packing, process, and utility equipment
  • Using electrical test equipment for diagnostics
  • Performing preventive maintenance and calibration
  • Troubleshooting PLC, SCADA, and HMI systems
  • Monitoring and repairing robotics and variable frequency drives
  • Analyzing data to identify issues proactively
  • Training others in technical skills

Physical and Shift Requirements
  • Use of hand and power tools
  • Lifting up to 50 pounds, climbing, standing, and moving on stairs and ladders
  • Ability to discern alarms and signals

The plant operates 7 days a week on 12-hour rotating shifts (day and night shifts). Candidates must be willing to rotate and work any shift.

Qualifications
  • Minimum 18 years old
  • High school diploma, GED, or equivalent, with 2-year technical degree/certification in Industrial Electrical or related field, or equivalent experience
  • Willing to wear PPE and use fall protection
  • Knowledge of PLCs, HMIs, process instrumentation, and electrical safety
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to read electrical schematics and use troubleshooting tools
  • Teamwork and interpersonal skills
  • Willingness to work rotating 12-hour shifts on a 2-2-3 schedule
Additional Information
  • Starting pay: $36.26/hour
  • Relocation is generally not paid
  • Successful completion of a technical interview required
