Job summary

West Georgia Technical College invites applications for an Automotive-EV Technology Instructor at the LaGrange campus. You will lead instruction for Automotive Technology and Electric Vehicle courses, serving traditional, dual-enrolled, and online students.

The role requires a Diploma in Automotive Technology or related field, 3 years of field experience (EV focus preferred), and ASE/xEV certifications with 1-year deadline post-hire. Teaching across modalities is expected.

Qualifications

Diploma in Automotive Technology or Automotive-Electric Vehicle from an accredited post-secondary institution.
Three (3) years of field experience, including Electric Vehicles.
Master ASE Certification and/or xEV Level 1/2, or ASE eligible; must be obtained within 1 year of hire.

Responsibilities

Provides instruction in theory and practical applications of the discipline according to state standards.
Teaches face-to-face, hybrid, and online formats as needed and in alignment with faculty loads.
Instructs courses in classroom, lab, clinic, or field environments simulating industry conditions.
Uses current technology in teaching and lab activities; evaluates student progress against goals.
Grading of coursework in a timely manner and communicating with students and staff.
Maintains program certification/accreditation and prepares necessary documentation and reports.
