Actalent is seeking a CAD Design Technician to support electric utility projects with hands-on AutoCAD drafting for overhead and underground distribution systems. The role combines remote work, field activity, and technical design responsibilities in a collaborative environment.
The ideal candidate has an associate degree in CAD Drafting or related engineering technology and AutoCAD experience, with willingness to travel locally for site visits. This is a contract-to-hire opportunity.
Formación
- Associate degree in CAD Drafting or related field.
- Experience using AutoCAD in projects or coursework.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to document work accurately.
- Good communication and collaboration skills.
Responsabilidades
- Create and modify utility design drawings using AutoCAD.
- Support overhead and underground electric distribution projects.
- Prepare construction drawings and project documentation.
- Perform basic engineering calculations and develop cost estimates.
- Review easements and project requirements for accurate designs.
- Analyze GIS Smallworld data and update drawings.
- Coordinate with engineering, construction, and field teams.
- Assist with inspections, testing documentation, and field verifications.
