Job summary

Consumers Energy, based in Michigan, is seeking a Supervisor Electric Services to oversee substation operations and related maintenance across Transmission, High Voltage Distribution and Distribution substations. The role includes planning, coordinating, and supervising diverse teams to ensure reliable power delivery.

The Electric Field Lab supervisor will manage commissioning, troubleshooting, and maintenance of Protection & Control equipment, plus associated low/high voltage devices.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Technical, Engineering, Construction with two or more years in supervisory, operations or construction experience.
• Associate Degree in Technical, Engineering, Construction with four or more years in supervisory, operations or construction experience.
• High School Diploma or GED with six or more years in supervisory, operations or construction experience.

Responsibilities

• Participate in local problem solving and implement department initiatives.
• Advocate of Lean methods, identify and implement ways to improve substation operations.
• Coordinate construction, commissioning, and maintenance activities with customers and other utilities.
• Respond to substation outages in assigned area or in support of other areas.
• Participate in On-Call rotation.
• Direct supervision of employees in assigned area including planning, organization, and monitoring of work.
