Job summary

Caterpillar’s Large Electric Power Solutions Division (LEPS) is seeking a Configuration Engineer in Lafayette, IN. You will create, update, and maintain LEPS pricelists for products like 3500, C175, and 3600, collaborating with the Large Power Systems Division and other Electric Power teams.

The role emphasizes information capture, SOP design, and analytical thinking to support manufacturing engineering. Travel up to 10% and a 5-day office schedule are typical.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of information capture methods, channels and processes.
• Ability to document information in an auditable, organized, understandable manner.
• Knowledge of established SOPs and ability to design and evaluate SOPs.
• Follows procedures to document routine information and ensure compliance.

Responsibilities

• Work closely with design engineers on new products and cost reduction.
• Manage component compatibility and pricelists creation/updates.
• Initiate and prioritize new pricelists and changes to existing ones.
• Ensure SOP adherence and process improvements across operations.
