Job summary

The City of Roseville Electric Utility is hiring an Electric Business Analyst I or II to track state and federal legislation, regulations, and codes affecting utility operations. You will develop advocacy positions, draft correspondence, and build partnerships with coalitions and community organizations.

Serving as a spokesperson, you will translate new laws into department operations and support cross-unit collaboration.

Qualifications

  • Experience analyzing state and federal legislation, regulations, and codes.
  • Ability to develop advocacy positions and draft formal correspondence.
  • Experience building partnerships with coalition partners and community organizations.
  • Experience presenting briefings to internal and external stakeholders.
  • Ability to implement new laws/regulations into department operations and ensure compliance.

Responsibilities

  • Track and analyze state and federal legislation, regulations, and codes impacting utility operations.
  • Develop formal advocacy positions and draft written correspondence.
  • Build and maintain partnerships with coalition partners and community organizations.
  • Provide regular legislative/regulatory briefings and act as spokesperson.
  • Close the loop between policy and compliance across the utility.
  • Organize utility tours, advocacy trips, and educational workshops to advance advocacy.
