Consumers Energy is seeking a Manager of Electric Operations in Grand Rapids, MI to provide planning, direction, regulatory compliance and oversight for field construction, maintenance, service and emergency work on Electric Transmission and Distribution facilities.

The role requires deep technical and operational knowledge of the electric grid, leadership of salaried and union personnel, and collaboration with internal and external stakeholders to ensure safe, cost-effective results and

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Business, Technical or related field with 4 years of related electrical or leadership experience.
• Or Associate Degree with 6 years of related electrical or leadership experience.
• Or High school Diploma with 8 years of related electrical or leadership experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design or implementation of key operational projects impacting multiple locations.
• Direct supervision of Electric Field Supervisors over a technical workforce including unionized staff.
• Ensure adherence to Corporate Safety Manual, Electric Methods and Procedures Manual, MIOSHA/OSHA standards and related policies.
• Oversee grievance procedures and investigations related to safety and discipline.
• Lead regional restoration efforts and coordinate storm response with crews and contractors.
