Algonquin Power & Utilities Corp. (AQN), parent company of Liberty Utilities, seeks a Manager of Operations - Field Services to lead Troubleman and Metering operations in a safe, customer-focused way. You will guide day-to-day field activities, develop procedures, and drive performance improvements across the Metering Department.

The role emphasizes leadership, process development, and strong stakeholder engagement to enhance reliability and customer satisfaction in our service area.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required in Engineering, Business, Utility Operations, or related field.
• 5+ years’ experience in utility operations, field services, metering, or related areas.
• 3+ years leadership experience with proven ability to develop and motivate employees.
• Experience leading union-represented employees preferred.
• Experience with metering operations, AMI systems, and utility work management systems preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership and oversight of Troubleman and Metering operations.
• Lead, develop, and support employees in a safe, accountable, and high-performing work environment.
• Manage complex customer concerns and serve as an escalation point for service-related issues.
• Develop and maintain operating procedures, standards, and work practices.
• Lead process improvement initiatives to improve safety, efficiency, reliability, and customer satisfaction.
• Coordinate outage response, storm restoration, emergency operations, and other field service activities.
• Develop operational plans, budgets, goals, and performance measures.
• Foster strong working relationships with customers, employees, contractors, and internal stakeholders.
