Job summary

Sid Harvey’s, an HVAC wholesale distributor in Andrews, SC, is seeking an entry-level Electric Motor Winder for the Manufacturing Plant. You will assemble and test electric motor and generator components, including stators, armatures, and rotors, and you will file burrs, line slots, and insert coils.

No prior experience required; training provided. This full-time role offers a benefits package including medical, dental, vision, life insurance, 401(k) with match, paid time off, and profit sharing.

Qualifications

• Entry-level position for an electric motor winder.
• Assemble and test motor stators, armatures, rotors.
• File burrs from slots and line slots with insulation.
• Inspect cores and align laminations during assembly.
• Test windings for clearance and absence of shorts.

Responsibilities

• Assembles and tests electric motor/generator stators, armatures, or rotors.
• Inspects cores for defects and aligns laminations using tools.
• Files burrs from core slots using files and scrapers.
• Lines slots with sheet insulation and inserts coils.
• Tests windings for clearance, grounds, and shorts with gauges and testers.
• Winds new coils on armatures, stators, or rotors of used motors/generators.
