Job summary

MidAmerican Energy Company is seeking a skilled Electric Service Technician to install and maintain electric distribution and transmission systems. The role covers overhead and underground facilities, gas pipe involvement, and meter-related work, under general supervision.

The ideal candidate has four years of related experience, a Class A CDL, and possibly a current journeyworker license; CIP certification is a plus.

Qualifications

• Requires Class A CDL and CIP certification.
• At least four years of related experience in overhead/underground utilities.
• Current journeyworker license/card preferred.

Responsibilities

• Performs installing, changing and maintaining electric distribution and transmission systems.
• Operates substations, reads meters, and restores service as trained.
• Leads, trains, and instructs crew members in switching and related tasks.
