Job summary

Texas-New Mexico Power Company seeks Energy Technicians III, IV or V to perform skilled construction, maintenance and restoration on electric distribution systems. Work on overhead and underground facilities, troubleshoot outages, and uphold safety standards in a hands-on team environment.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• CDL and ability to meet driving standards.
• Experience in electric distribution construction and maintenance.
• Equivalent combinations of education and related experience may be considered.

Responsibilities

• Construct, maintain, and repair overhead and underground distribution facilities.
• Troubleshoot electrical system issues and restore service after outages.
• Install, maintain, and modify electric lines, transformers, and switches.
• Operate utility vehicles and specialized equipment.
• Mentor and train apprentices and less experienced technicians.
• Respond to after-hours emergencies and participate in on-call rotations.
