Job summary

Ameren Corporation is seeking a Distribution System Operating Supervisor to lead field teams operating subtransmission and distribution assets, ensuring safe, reliable electric service and rapid restoration during outages.

The role requires strong leadership, analytical thinking, and communication skills, with responsibilities spanning dispatch, switching, maintenance coordination, and mentorship of DSOS staff in a rotating shift environment.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Bachelor of Science Degree preferred.
• Two or more years relevant experience.
• Five or more years directly relevant experience without Bachelors Degree; three or more years with Bachelor’s Degree.
• Pass the SO/PD II Test.

Responsibilities

• Direct field personnel in the operation of the electric distribution system.
• Dispatch and supervise switching orders; maintain records.
• Coordinate maintenance and restoration activities on the distribution systems.
• Mentor DSOS I and assist with training for incoming DSOS I.
• Participate in storm restoration and emergency response activities as needed.
